Welcome to Astronomi.jimdo.com

Hello and welcome to our webpage, here you can find alot of thinks like images, videos etc.. about astronomy. Our objective is to know how the universe is and how it was formed, scientist think that the universe formed from the (big bang). This timeline of the Big Bang describes the history of the universe according to the prevailing scientific theory of how the universe came into being, using the cosmological time parameter of comoving coordinates. The instant in which the universe is thought to have begun rapidly expanding from an extremely high energy density is known as the Big Bang. The best available measurements as of 2010 suggest that the initial conditions occurred between 13.3 and 13.9 billion years ago.

do you want to study astronomy???

Astronomy courses for beginners.

we can teach you how to start to know and understand this subject of science the astronomy by observing and studying the stars planets and galaxies. If you want to start just come to 11 silverwood close cambridge you will see in the menu where we are,for more information check in the menu the bar of information.

The solar system

The Solar System consists of the Sun and the astronomical objects bound to its by gravity, all of which formed from the collapse of a giant molecular cloud approximately 4.6 billion years ago. Of the many objects that orbit the Sun, most of the mass is contained within eight relatively solitary planets whose orbits are almost circular and lie within a nearly flat disc called the ecliptic plane. The four smaller inner planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars, also called the terrestial planets, are primarily composed of rock and metal. The four outer planets, the gas giants, are substantially more massive than the terrestrials. The two largest, Jupiter and Saturn, are composed mainly of hydrogen and helium; the two outermost planets, Uranus and Neptune, are composed largely of ices, such as water, ammonia and methane, and are often referred to separately as "ice giants".

about our nearest star, alpha centaury.

Alpha Centauri (a Centaury, α Cen; also known as Rigil Kentaurus, Rigil Kent, or Toliman) is the name for the brightest naked-eye (apparent) star in the southern constellation of Centaurus, which is the closest apparent star to the sun, and the name for the multi-star system that composes that apparent star. To the unaided eye this multi-star system appears as a single star, whose total visual magnitude would identify it as the third brightest star in the night sky. The visible part of Alpha Centauri is actually a binary system, the individual stars being designated Alpha Centauri A (α Cen A) and Alpha Centauri B (α Cen B), or, collectively, Alpha Centauri AB (α Cen AB). They are 1.34 parsec or 4.37 light years away from our Sun. However, a third star called, proxima centauri or Proxima, or α Cen C, which is not visible to the naked eye, is likely to be a gravitational companion of this binary system. The whole (potential) trinary star system may also be called Alpha Centauri or α Cen AB-C. Proxima Centauri is the closest know star at 4.24 light years away from the Sun, and it is 0.21 light years away from α Cen AB

Lets gonna talk about missions.now we are interested in one of the most important and expensive missions of the NASA,the mission keepler. It consist in founding (exoplanets) extrasolars planets. They are the key of founding life in the universe and the answer of all the astronomers and all the humanity, are we alone in the universe??with the mission keppler we can aswer that question and the next decade the NASA is thinking to do another mission with better technology and found LIFE IN A EXOPLANET. at the moment nasa has found hundrends of exoplanets but non of them appear to have life.
